There are no program fees. A commitment to attend and participate is expected.

NYWC strives to ensure women have access to our programs. Talk to us about any child-minding, accessibility or other needs you have during registration. Register as early as possible to secure your spot – and please cancel if you can’t attend.

Drop In Program
Our new drop-in program runs on Thursdays from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in the lounge outside the NYWC office.

Discovering Our Power Evening Group
This is the first part of the Women’s Empowerment Series.  In Discovering our Power, participants will gain an understanding of difficult emotions and the affect they have on mental and physical well-being. They will identify personal strengths, learn coping strategies they can draw on in stressful situations, and build self-esteem and confidence. Using group discussions and interactive activities, participants will gain strength and knowledge to move forward while making connections with other women in a supportive environment..

Exploring Our Potential
Exploring our Potential is the second program of the three-part Women’s Empowerment Series.  In Exploring our Potential, participants will gain knowledge of themselves by exploring strengths, skills and identity.  They will examine their individual needs, priorities and options. Tasks and activities will allow space for each participant to have “me time,” while also encouraging women to share and learn from each other in a supportive environment.

Reclaiming Yourself after Abuse
This 10-week support group program is for women who have experienced past partner relationship violence. The group provides a supportive environment where women will explore the impacts and effects of abuse, examine their personal responses, strengthen individual coping skills and develop strategies for moving forward. Intake appointments before the group begins are required.
