The Redwood’s Mobile Healing Centre is BACK with a NEW NAME!
We’re so excited to welcome back the Redwood’s Hub-on-Wheels (previously known as the Mobile Healing Centre)! It’s a customized RV providing anti-gendered violence support, including counselling, crisis intervention and prevention, and basic health care services. During its visit to NYWC, these services will be accessible to members of our community.
The May session will be held on May 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 116 Industry Street in Toronto.
Each session is one-hour long and includes:
- 30 minutes with a registered health care provider
- 30 minutes with a caseworker/housing support worker
During the session, two participants will alternate between providers. There are six slots available on May 13. To secure an appointment, clients must complete the following steps:
1. Contact NYWC to request a session
- If you’re interested in booking a session, email info@nywc.org with the subject line: Hub-On-Wheels: (Insert Current Month Here) Appointment (i.e. SUBJECT: Hub-On-Wheels: May Appointment) to connect with Anaya Boucaud about an intake conversation.
2. Complete the Intake Process with NYWC Staff
- You’ll have a conversation with us to provide information about the support you’re seeking. This will help us fill out and submit the mandatory form from The Redwood Mobile Healing Centre and then confirm your appointment.
Important Notes: Appointments are only confirmed once both steps are completed. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If these steps are not completed in a timely manner, the appointment opportunity will be given to the next individual on the waitlist. If you are unable to make this session, the Hub-on-Wheels will be at our site again on Tuesday, June 3.
