International Women’s Day: Join us for our Empower-Her Showcase and the official launch of our Ending GBV Toolkit
International Women’s Day is an occasion to recognize the unwavering determination, empowerment, and exceptional accomplishments of women worldwide. By bringing women together, we amplify our collective power, foster solidarity, and create a formidable force to inspire a brighter future for all women.
We are excited to host the free, NYWC Empower-Her Showcase on Friday, March 8, in honour of International Women’s Day and the launch of our Ending Gender-Based Violence Toolkit. This event offers our community the chance to share knowledge, access valuable resources, and connect over a delicious free lunch. We’ve also arranged a free childminding service, ensuring inclusivity and participation for everyone. We would love for you to attend. Launching Our Ending Gender-Based Violence Toolkit
Our Ending GBV Toolkit is an online training program funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada, aimed at equipping organizations who serve women with the necessary tools to address safety, security, and privacy risks associated with digital gender-based violence services. The toolkit offers courses, resources, sample policies, and a digital forum, empowering service providers to deliver their services with heightened awareness and effectiveness. The official launch of this toolkit will take place during this event.
What to expect at our Empower-Her Showcase
Whether you’re a community member seeking services or valuable resources, a platform to share information, or simply looking for a chance to connect, this event is for you. Everyone is welcome, from new and existing NYWC users to representatives of non-profit and service provider organizations, united by a shared goal to advance female empowerment.
The showcase will feature service provider exhibits, interactive workshops, and opportunities to connect with fellow community members. Stay tuned for updates on our event page to learn more about the diverse service providers featured at the event.
Along with a free catered lunch, attendees can anticipate engaging activities, prizes and swag bags for all participants.
